Farming in my blood and hereford beef

“One of my passions in life is raising beef.  Polled Herefords to be exact. 
 
I once related it to an addiction, in that someone with any sense at all knew you should stop but you’re unable.  Tromping through a lovely poop, snow, and mud mixture at 1AM attempting to stall a cow who is fixing to calve to save it's baby or checking cows in your mud boots and underwear to see if all is alright (there's an interesting visual), these and more are some of the things I "love" to do.   More importantly, I have a great opportunity and responsibility to raise animals with my family.  My children will understand the value of hard work and responsibility in a more powerful way than if they were not raised on the farm. 
 
Whether it is cattle, horses, chickens, goats, or even alpacas, I have helped people find their farm property.  I understand the needs of farmers and ranchers because I am one too! Stocking rates, fertilizer requirements, soil types, forage, etc. are all things I understand and can help with, in addition to assisting with the real estate transaction, that can really make a difference for my clients.  This kind of value is not found very easily anymore.
 
Farms are so unique and have many differences.  They are an absolute blast to show and discuss.  From beautiful pastures, to caves, creeks, and springs they are so fun to explore! 
 
Each buyer is looking for something to fit their needs and their operation.   Water sources, animal housing needs, equipment storage, and forage storage are all important factors to consider when making a purchase.
 
Farming makes up a large part of our local market economy.  This part of the Missouri Ozarks is ripe for raising protein and let’s not forget grapes!
